What's Going on in the Vail Real Estate Market?

Eagle County Real Estate Shows Increase over Last Month

April real estate numbers have just been published and the month reflects the second best month thus far this year both in dollar volume, $57,567,700, and in transactions, 54.

These numbers are down from last year where we had a sales volume of $137,700,500 and 117 transactions for the same month.

Through the first four months of 2009 the price points with the most activity are properties between $500,000 and $1,000,000 (33%) and properties below $500,000 (31%). The average for properties below $500,000 is $350,000.

Eagle County's dollar volume has yet to surpass $60 million in a single month so far this year; however, our overall average price remains above $1 million.

April Highlights:

• 3 properties sold for more than $4 million; 2 of those properties were sold in Bachelor Gulch

• Single family homes averaged $1.7 million

• Vail Village had the most activity of any area with 7 transactions
