What's Happening in the Vail Real Estate Market?
August Real Estate Stays Strong
Eagle County real estate continued with a healthy number of transactions in August, finishing with 188 in total. That's 15% above last August and the second highest month in 2013. In total, August brought the year-to-date dollar volume to $821,980,528 and transactions to 1,142; creating an overall average sales price of $727,815.
Locals increased their buying in August accounting for 59% of all transactions sold in Eagle County. Twenty-five percent of transactions were closed with buyers from out of state and 16% of buyers were from the Front Range.
There were 2 properties that sold in August for $5 million+, and the highest transaction was a $7 million home sale in Vail.
The majority of all real estate transactions in Eagle County continue to be in the $500,000 and under range accounting for 55% of all transactions. The range of $500,000 to $1,000,000 accounts for 25% of the sales, and the remaining 20% are over $1,500,000.
